Our Brigg centre has donated wood preserver to Messingham Primary School’s year 5 & 6 pupils.
The 9 to 11 year-olds are taking part in an enterprising project with an aim to learn about generating product-related profits, monitoring cost and selling.
The pupils have recently produced bird feeders, which are being sold in a pet shop local to the school. Following the success of this project, the enterprising students decided to make bird nesting boxes to sell at the school’s Summer Fair on Friday 10 July.
Around 80 nesting boxes will be made from plywood, and will be tacked together by the children. The final step will be to weatherproof the boxes using our wood treatment.
If you are part of the Messingham Primary School community, don’t forget to come along on Friday! 14:00pm – 15:15pm.
