Wentworth Christmas Concerts

Two wonderful Christmas concerts will return to Wentworth Church this year!

The traditional Escafeld Chorale and York Waits Christmas concerts, which had to be cancelled last year due to the pandemic, are returning to Wentworth Church this year!

The York Waits – Ancient Music for the Festive Season

Sunday 5th December 2021 at 3.30pm

Taking their name from the ancient city band of York, the York Waits are known to have existed for at least five hundred years until the band’s abolition in 1836.

Today, the band has been revived and plays a variety of period European music, as well as their own arrangements of popular songs.

Tickets cost £12.00 and are available from Wentworth Post Office.

Escafeld Chorale – The Christmas Story in Words and Music

Sunday 11th December 2021 at 7.30pm

This Sheffield-based mixed-voice choir will perform an array of readings, choir music, and carols that tell the Christmas story.

Tickets cost £8.00 in advance and are available from Wentworth Post Office, or £9.00 on the door.
