Timber chicken coops, also called hen houses and chicken houses, are designed to give your laying hens safety, shelter, and convenience in mind. They provide a place where chickens and hens can get away from bad weather, storms, rain, snow, and wind. Chicken coops can also be locked to keep harmful predators away from chickens or their eggs.
Our 3’ X 6’ hen house has a raised floor and single door, with a separate closing hen access door and ramp to 3’ x 6’ run with 13mm x 13mm galvanised weldmesh, and meshed door. The eaves height of the coop is 691/4” / 1760mm with a ridge height of 873/4” / 2230mm.
Earnshaw’s chicken coops and hen houses are pre-treated with quality water-based wood preservatives prior to delivery. To ensure the longevity of the coop we recommend a topcoat upon installation, and annually thereafter.
